Why no motorcycle electric choses induction engine?

Induction engines are not commonly used in electric motorcycles because they have certain limitations that make them less suitable for this application. Induction motors, also known as asynchronous motors, rely on electromagnetic induction to generate a rotating magnetic field. While they have been widely used in other industries, such as in industrial machinery, their characteristics can be challenging to adapt to the specific requirements of motorcycles. This is due to several reasons, including their lower power-to-weight ratio, lower efficiency at high speeds, and difficulty in achieving precise and smooth control. Instead, most electric motorcycles opt for electric motors that utilize permanent magnets. Permanent magnet motors, whether they use neodymium or other types of magnets, offer several advantages that make them more suitable for motorcycles. These advantages include higher power density, better efficiency across a wide range of speeds, faster acceleration, and smoother control. Furthermore, permanent magnet motors can be more compact and lightweight, which is essential for motorcycles where maintaining a low weight and compact design is crucial for performance and handling. It is worth mentioning that there are exceptions to this trend, with some manufacturers experimenting with induction motors in certain electric Motorcycle models. However, the majority of electric motorcycles on the market currently rely on permanent magnet motors due to their superior performance and efficiency characteristics.
