The Town of Banff provides financial rebates to residents to help save energy and support environmentally-friendly transportation methods. Rebates are available for e-bikes, studded bike tires, urban crampons, and a variety of other products. The maximum rebate for Banff residents is 50% of the purchase price, or $500, whichever is less. Banff Access Tier 1 and Tier 2 residents are eligible for up to 50% of the purchase price, or $750 and $1000, respectively.

- The SCRAP-IT program offers a $750 rebate for the purchase of an electric bike from a participating retailer. - The minimum retail purchase price of the electric bicycle that qualifies for the $750 SCRAP-IT rebate is $1,200 (twelve-hundred dollars) before taxes. - The program requires the person who scrapped the vehicle to be the recipient of the rebate. The receipt must be in the name of the person who scrapped the vehicle. - Once you have been approved, you have 30 days to purchase your electric bike from a participating bike retailer, scrap your vehicle and claim your rebate. - All electric bikes must be purchased from a SCRAP-IT program partner who is a BC-based business or has a business location operating in BC with a valid BC business license.

The government of British Columbia does not offer any rebates or subsidies for the purchase of e-bikes. However, e-bikes qualify for an exemption from PST (Provincial Sales Tax) when certain requirements are met. To qualify, an e-bike must have pedals or hand cranks that allow for the bike to be propelled by human power, wheels that measure 350mm or more in diameter, the electric motor or motors must not be capable of propelling the bike at a speed greater than 32 km/hr on level ground and must not have a continuous output power rating that exceeds 500W in total, and must not have a combustion engine.

The TRU Employee E-Bike Purchase program allows employees to apply for an incentive of 10 percent off the purchase value of an e-bike, up to $300 total. To assist in the purchase of higher-value bikes, employees that have permanent, full-time status may apply for financing with up to a two-year repayment period (minimum of $500 purchase price and maximum of $5,000), and employees on a contract term with TRU may apply for financing up to the end of their contract term. Additionally, TRU is offering a seasonal commuter parking permit to cyclists, which is valid from Nov. 15 to Mar. 15 for either economy ($200) or general ($250) lots.

The E-Bike program provides low-interest financing for Nelson homeowners who would like to purchase a commuter bike including electric bikes, do-it-yourself conversion kits, non-electric bikes and accessories that are related to safety and commuting (does not include clothing). The loan is applied monthly on the home owner’s Nelson Hydro electric bill and repaid over the term of the loan. The maximum loan amount is $8,000 per household, which can support the purchase of more than one bike. Participants can choose an amortization period of two or five years, with an interest rate of 3.5% (subject to change each year). The program will be available to City of Nelson residents who own their own homes.

E-bikes, e-tricycles and front-drive wheelchair attachments will all fall under the incentive program which will see buyers receive up to $1,600. The program, which is slated to begin in Quarter 1 of 2023, will be targeted towards median-to-low-income earners in the district, who will then be eligible for an incentive between $400 and $1,600, determined by household size. The total cost of the program is budgeted to be $135,000, inclusive of administration costs, allowing 100 households access to the program.

Clean BC offers $1,700 to non-profits and businesses for electric cargo bikes The program also includes a $2,000 rebate for an electric motorcycle, and up to $5000 for other “low speed vehicles”

The pilot program will use an estimated budget of $135,000 to offer two tiers of incentives, either $500 or $1500, based on household income.

The Electrify Rebate Program in Nova Scotia offers rebates for the purchase or lease of qualifying BEVs, PHEVs and e-bikes purchased or leased from dealerships and retailers located in Nova Scotia on or after February 24, 2021. E-bikes retailing for $1,200 or over are eligible for a $500 rebate. All rebates must be applied at the time of purchase from the dealership. Used e-bikes and new e-bikes ordered from third-party online retailers such as Amazon and Alibaba.com, directly from e-bike makers, or from individual private sellers are not eligible for a rebate.

The motion passed by Toronto City Council includes financial incentives for purchasing all bikes, e-bikes, and other non-carbon vehicles that are approved for use on City of Toronto roadways and cycling infrastructure. The amount for the incentive has not been announced yet

The Government of Prince Edward Island is offering eligible Islanders and organizations a $500 rebate for those who purchase an e-Bike (Power Assisted Bicycle). Island residents are eligible for one e-Bike rebate per calendar year, while non-profits, businesses, public agencies, or any entity operating or registered in PEI (including Island municipalities, First Nations, Indigenous Organizations, and organizations that support Indigenous Peoples, but excluding provincial, crown, and federal government agencies) are eligible for up to five e-Bike rebates per calendar year. Eligible e-Bikes must retail for $1,200 (inclusive of sales and discounts, but exclusive of taxes and delivery fees) or more, have a maximum speed of 32 km/h, an electric motor of 500 watts or less, two or three wheels that touch the ground, a maximum weight of 120kg, and meet all other regulations as set out by the Highway Safety Act. Some retailers in Prince Edward Island will be offering a Point-of-Sale Incentive for e-Bikes, which automatically subtracts the $500 rebate from the total cost of the bike. Island residents and organizations can also purchase their e-Bike online or from a different retailer, and apply for the rebate after the purchase.

Many countries and local governments offer rebates and subsidies for electric bikes. These incentives can range from discounts on the purchase price to tax credits and other forms of financial support. In some cases, the incentives are available for both new and used ebikes. Check with your local government to see if there are any incentives available in your area.

- 25% of the cost of a new electric bicycle up to a maximum of $750 - 25% of the cost of a new electric cargo bicycle up to a maximum of $1,500 - Eligible applicants include Yukon residents (2 rebates) and organizations/businesses registered in Yukon (10 rebates) - Rebates are calculated on the cost of the bicycle only and exclude costs such as accessories, shipping, and assembly. - Rebates can be applied for directly from the Yukon Government or from Yukon vendors.

- 0.50% rate discount on clean energy loans for qualifying projects - Automatic loan payments withdrawn from your checking account or credit card may qualify for a 2.00% discount - Residents in certain counties and states may be eligible for a 0.50% rate discount after providing proof of registration in the the following programs: New York State NYSERDA program, Colorado State RENU program, Clean Energy Advantage “CEA” program in Maryland and Washington DC, and City of Bloomington Green Home Improvement program.

The Colorado state government will provide ebike rebates for low- and moderate-income Coloradans in August 2023. Rebates will be available through a one-week application process each month, with randomly selected applicants receiving a voucher for a discount at the time of purchase. Eligibility criteria, voucher amounts, ebike eligibility, and participating retailers are all available on the Colorado state website.

- TEP offers rebates for eligible residential customers who purchase a qualifying e-bike. - Customers meeting low-income eligibility thresholds are eligible for a $600 rebate*, those who don’t meet income requirements are eligible for a $100 rebate. - In partnership with Pima County and the City of Tucson, low-income qualifying customers can also receive a free helmet and lock. - Rebates subject to availability of funds.

The incentives program will launch in the first quarter of 2023 and will be open to people living anywhere in California. Qualifying applicants may be able to get a voucher of up to $1,000 for a regular e-bike and up to $1,750 for a cargo or adaptive e-bike. People whose income is under 225% FPL or who live in disadvantaged (DAC) census tracts qualify for additional incentives of up to $250. To qualify for the incentive program, participants’ household income is capped at 300% of the federal poverty level (FPL). The program will support the purchase of Class 1 (up to 20 mph, pedal assist only) and Class 2 (up to 20 mph, pedal assist and throttle) e-bikes and Class 3 (up to 28 mph, pedal assist only). Participants must purchase a bike from a California bike shop or online from a company with a business location in California.

UC will provide access to a pre-tax program to pay for transit costs and a UC-negotiated e-bike purchase discount program within 12 months of ratification. UC also agrees to attempt to negotiate reduced-fee or no-fee access to regional transit system(s).

The Clean Cars for All program offers qualifying Bay Area residents the option to dismantle their old car in exchange for $7,500 in grant funding to use on public transit and for the purchase of an electric bicycle (e-bike) and bike accessories. Funds awarded for these mobility options are loaded onto pre-paid cards that are valid for either 30 months or until all funds are expended, whichever occurs sooner. Qualifying e-bikes must be equipped with fully operable pedals, an electric motor of 750 watts or less, and be clearly labeled as either Class 1, Class 2, or Class 3.

The City of Berkeley has awarded Waterside Workshops a $250,000 grant to create an electric bike (or “e-bike”) access program that will provide e-bikes to income-qualified Berkeley households. Additionally, Waterside will offer training and safety lessons for program participants, and will collect information on e-bike usage to help inform future climate equity actions.

The Richmond-San Rafael Bridge E-Bike Commute Program provides eligible commuters a voucher to save 80% or up to $1000, whichever is less, on a new e-bike from participating bike shops. Plus, participants can earn additional rewards for riding their e-bike across the bridge!

The 511 Contra Costa Electric Bicycle Rebate Program offers rebates of $150 to $500 for adults (18+) living in Contra Costa County who purchase a new e-bike within the last six months. Low income applicants may be eligible for a rebate of up to $500. The rebate program is funded by the local Measure J half-cent sales tax, which supports programs encouraging alternatives to the single occupant vehicle.

The Charge Up E-Bike Rebate Program offers rebates of up to $500 for the purchase of a new electric bicycle and up to $250 for the conversion of an existing bicycle to an electric bicycle. The program is funded by the Contra Costa Transportation Authority and administered by Mobility Matters.

EBCE is offering a $6 million e-Bike program for residents throughout their service area. This program includes a $2 million e-Bike lending program and a $4 million e-Bike incentive program. The program will also include incentives for low-income customers who are on a CARE electricity rate. The program will be available across EBCE’s service territory of Alameda County and the City of Tracy, as well as in the City of Stockton which is taking EBCE service starting in 2024.

- City of Healdsburg Electric Bike Rebate: $700 for income-qualified CARE customers, $400 for an e-bike purchased in Healdsburg, $300 for an e-bike purchased outside of Healdsburg, $50 for an e-bike conversion attachment kit.

The Sea Otter Classic Foundation is raising funds to supply e-Bikes to the Veterans Transition Center of Monterey County to help the veterans they serve transition from crisis to self-sufficiency. To date, they have donated 8 e-Bikes and counting. These bikes provide a personally empowering and independent form of transportation for veterans in need. At the present time, the Foundation is only able to provide e-Bikes to the Veterans Transition Center for their use.

Google's bike and e-bike lending program offers free loan of high-quality electric-assisted and conventional bicycles for a period of six months to interested employees. Additionally, Google has implemented innovative commute options for commuters, such as transportation demand management (TDM) programs, to reduce traffic and parking demand at their headquarters in Silicon Valley.

In this proposed program, local bike shops in low-income neighborhoods of Oakland would rent out the bikes in partnership with GRID Alternatives, a nonprofit that works to improve access to carbon-free transportation options.

Many local governments and utility companies offer rebates and subsidies for purchasing an electric bike. Check with your local government or utility company to see if any rebates or subsidies are available. Additionally, the Ride and Drive Clean Ebike Discount Campaign offers up to $1,000 or 40% off select models and 10% off all full price Ebike models.

The new pilot rebates will apply to new Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 e-bikes with a limit of two per PWP residential electric service account. Rebate amounts range from $500 to $1000 for e-bikes purchased at retailers within the city of Pasadena, with an additional $250 bonus for customers enrolled in PWP’s income-qualified bill assistance program. Further details about the program, including how to apply, will be announced online at PWPweb.com in late June.

The City of Redding Electric Utility offers an e-Bike program that provides a point-of-purchase voucher of up to $1150 towards the purchase of an eligible e-Bike, lock, and helmet for income-qualified customers.

The Pedal Ahead program offers a loan-to-own program that enables eligible participants to work toward owning an eBike by completing program requirements. Initial funding for the program was provided by San Diego County, The Left Coast Fund, The San Diego Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, and SDG&E. The California Statewide eBike Incentive Program has not yet started, but announcements will be forthcoming.

The Electro-Bici program is made possible by a $500,000 grant from the LADWP. The program also offers free e-bikes to Northeast San Fernando Valley residents.

This program will cost $559,000, which will be covered by a grant from the California Energy Commission. Drivers will receive bikes, helmets, locks, saddle bags, rain jackets and other accessory gear free of charge and indefinitely. The program, administered by the nonprofit GRID Alternatives, will also include complimentary insurance as well as safety training from the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.

GoSGV offers a variety of rebates and subsidies for e-bikes. For the Classic Commuter model, the rate is $49/month for the first 3 months. For students, the rate is $39/month, and for income-qualifying riders, the rate is $19/month. For the Cargo/Family bike, the rate starts at $129/month (up to 2 months). Group/Business/Income-Qualified rates are available upon request. Additional fees may apply, such as a delivery fee of $45, a deposit of $250-$500, and a theft policy fee.

EZBike Project for Employers offers lunch and learn demonstrations to employers who would like to support ebike use. Participants must be residents or commuters in Santa Barbara County and aged 16+ (Class I and II) or 18+ (Class III). There are also community events scheduled from time to time, which can be accessed through the SurveyMonkey tool and EZBike Reservation Portal. Additionally, Traffic Solutions offers Emergency Ride Home for ebike users.

• Electric Bicycle Rebate - Purchase an electric bicycle and receive a rebate up to $300. Income-qualified customers can receive an additional rebate up to $200. • Low Income Electric Vehicle Rebate - Income-qualified customers are now eligible for a rebate up to $1500 for purchasing an electric vehicle. • Low Income Solar Grant Program - Provides qualified homeowners with a free solar photovoltaic (PV) system. The program provides a grant of $3.50 per watt, up to 3 kilowatts DC to cover the costs of the system. • Pool Pump Rebate - Install a new Variable Speed Pool Filtration Pump and receive a $100 rebate. • Smart Electric Panel Rebate - Upgrade to a Smart Electric Panel to receive a rebate of $2,000. Income-qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of $1,000, for a total of $3,000. Customers who meet the LIHEAP income qualifications may be eligible for a bonus rebate of $1,000, for a total of $4,000.

- Individuals who work in Downtown Santa Cruz and/or are employed by the City of Santa Cruz are eligible for the Go Santa Cruz E-Bike Rebate Program. - There are $800 rebates for low income qualified individuals and $400 base rebates for non low income qualified individuals. - To receive the rebate voucher, applicants must complete an application, watch a Bike Safety Training and complete a Training Quiz and Baseline Survey. - Low income individuals must provide documentation verifying their enrollment in a low-income assistance program (i.e. PGE Cares, CalFresh, Medicaid, WIC, Calworks, etc).

The City of Santa Monica is offering an electric assist family cargo bike loaner program beginning in the 2020/21 school year. The program will allow parents of kids at eligible schools to check out a family cargo bike for a one-week trial period at no cost to the participants. Additionally, the City of Santa Monica is offering a Santa Monica Commuter Membership, which provides discounts on bike maintenance and repairs, bike education, and bike valet services.

The Replace Your Ride Program offers up to $9,500 in rebates and subsidies for the purchase of an ebike in lieu of a clean replacement vehicle. The program is limited to vehicle owners residing in the jurisdiction of the South Coast Management District who meet the income and vehicle requirements.

Avon residents can get a $200 rebate when they purchase a new e-bike for running errands or commuting to work. A $100 rebate for used e-bikes with a minimum purchase price of $500 is also available.

This program is made possible with a generous grant by the Colorado Energy Office and in partnership with University of Colorado, Boulder Community Health, Small Planet eBikes, City of Boulder and Boulder County. Participants receive a two year loaner-to-owner program requiring a fee of $250 to be paid in full before receiving their ebike. The value of the bike and accessories is over $1500. Participants will also receive a free tune up with Small Planet eBikes at 150 miles and a 2-year Membership to Community Cycles, including an invitation to participate in classes and workshops on bicycle maintenance at low or no cost.

The city is offering incentives to expand access to e-bikes, which will provide those living in the City of Boulder with a discount voucher to cover part of the cost of an e-bike bought from a participating bike shop. Vouchers will be available for commuter e-bikes and e-cargo bikes. Income-eligible applicants will receive larger discounts to help cover the upfront cost of e-bikes and important equipment. The incentives are funded by the city's Climate Tax and supported by a partnership with Community Cycles.

Empire Electric Association, Inc. offers a variety of rebates and subsidies for ebikes. These include discounts on the purchase of new ebikes, as well as discounts on energy-saving accessories such as chargers and batteries. Contact Empire Electric Association, Inc. for more information.

The Climate Protection Fund (CPF) will provide free e-bikes to income qualified essential workers in the Denver neighborhoods of Sun Valley, Globeville, Elyria and Swansea. The CPF is also funding a pilot program in Sun Valley to provide e-bikes to residents of affordable housing. The e-bikes will be manufactured in Denver by FattE-Bikes. Denver has partnered with the Colorado Energy Office to provide additional funding for the e-bike program.

The City and County of Denver offers e-bike and e-cargo bike instant rebates to Denver residents. The rebate vouchers are an upfront discount on the sale price of an e-bike from a participating bike shop. There are two types of rebate vouchers available: Standard Rebate (up to $300 for an e-bike or up to $500 for an e-cargo bike) and Income-Qualified Rebate (up to $1,200 for an e-bike or up to $1,400 for an e-cargo bike). Adaptive Rebate (up to $1,400 for an adaptive e-bike) is also available for persons with disabilities. The rebate vouchers are released every other month and are available on www.denverclimaterebates.com.

LPEA offers rebates to members for purchasing electric bikes and outdoor electric equipment. The rebate amounts vary depending on the type of equipment purchased, with a maximum combined rebate per member per year of $300 (riding lawn mower excepted). Eligible equipment includes snow blowers, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, trimmer/pruners, power washers, chainsaws, and electric bikes. Rebates are remitted as a bill credit and applications must be submitted within 90 days of purchase.

The Colorado Energy Office provided a $50,000 grant to the 4 Corners Office of Resource Efficiency, aka 4CORE, to increase access to e-bikes, reduce emissions and provide a healthy alternative for commuting. The program is called “Roll to Restaurants” and will provide 16 low-income restaurant workers with e-bikes, helmets, LED lights, locks, panniers, and training from Roll’s co-owner. The bikes are Class II e-bikes, meaning they are pedal-assist with a throttle. The program is done with support from the City of Durango, LPEA and the Fort Lewis College Environmental Center.

The Can Do Colorado eBike Pilot Program provides resources to local communities and businesses to help safely reopen the economy after COVID-19 restrictions and work toward a healthier, more sustainable future. As part of this initiative, the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) committed $500,000 toward an eBike pilot that increases access to eBikes for low-income essential workers. CEO awarded five organizations and the City and County of Denver awarded an additional two organizations. Awarded organizations include 4CORE in Durango, City of Fort Collins, Community Cycles in Boulder, Pueblo County, Smart Commute Metro-North, Northeast Transportation Connections, and West Corridor TMA. These organizations are providing rebates and subsidies for eBikes to low-income essential workers.

Holy Cross Energy is offering a $50 rebate when you purchase a new e-bike for running errands or commuting to work. HCE members living in the Edwards Metro District may be eligible for an additional $200 rebate. All qualifications for a specific project must be met in order to receive a rebate for that project. Receipts/invoices must be for projects completed no more than 90 days (3 months) prior to the date that rebate application was submitted. E-bike must be new; no rebate for resale or converting bike to e-bike.

MPE offers a 25% discount on e-bikes, up to $150.

GCE offers a 25% discount on e-bikes, up to $150.

Highline Electric Association offers a rebate program for electric bikes. To receive the rebate, members must submit a completed rebate form along with a valid W-9 form. The rebate form can be downloaded from the Highline Electric Association website.

Through the e-Cycle to Own Program, income-approved essential workers in Pueblo County, in partnership with the City of Pueblo, Pueblo West Metropolitan District, active community members, and local non-profit organizations, will receive e-Bikes (electric bicycles) with accessories (helmet, U-lock cable, headlamp, portable pump, and spare tubes). To be eligible in the program process, a proof of residence and proof of income indicating an annual salary of not more than $35,000 will be required. Registration will be open from December 1, 2022 through February 8, 2023.

The Can Do Colorado Community Challenge provided $500,000 towards an eBike pilot program that increases access to eBikes for low-income essential workers. Through the mini-pilot, 13 low-income essential workers in the greater Denver area received a Momentum LaFree E+ eBike (Class 1) and equipment including a helmet, pump, lock, lights and more at no cost. The Can Do Colorado eBike Spring 2021 Pilot Program provided five organizations and the City and County of Denver with funding to distribute 156 eBikes throughout the State of Colorado, with another 25 planned in Spring 2022, and 50 eBike share memberships.

Section 2 of SB 22-193 creates the community access to electric bicycles grant program (electric bicycles grant program) through which the office awards grant money to local governments, tribal governments, and nonprofit organizations that administer or plan to administer a bike share program or an ownership program for the provision of electric bicycles in a community. Section 2 also creates the community access to electric bicycles rebate program (rebate program) through which the office provides rebates for purchases of electric bicycles and equipment used for commuting purposes to individuals in low- and moderate-income households, businesses, or nonprofit organizations (program participants) or bicycle shops that sell electric bicycles to program participants at discounted prices. On June 30, 2022, the state treasurer shall transfer $12 million from the general fund to the community access to electric bicycles cash fund (fund), which fund is created in the act. The fund may also consist of money from federal sources and from gifts, grants, and donations. The money in the fund is continuously appropriated to the office for its administration of the electric bicycles grant program and the rebate program.

Connecticut's E-Bike Incentive Program provides rebates and/or vouchers of at least $500 for eligible E-bikes with an MSRP of $3,000 or less. The program prioritizes providing vouchers to residents of environmental justice (EJ) communities, residents having household incomes at or below three hundred percent of the federal poverty level, and residents who participate in certain state and federal assistance programs (LMI).

The D.C. Council unanimously approved a bill Tuesday that aims to get fewer cars and more e-bikes on D.C. streets. The legislation incentivizes residents to purchase e-bikes with a tiered subsidy program based on income, partially reimbursing residents for the cost of the bike. For lower-income residents eligible for SNAP and TANF, the subsidy can be up to $2,000 for a cargo e-bike, up to $1,500 for a regular e-bike, up to $300 for a replacement battery, up to $250 for annual maintenance, up to $250 for e-bike parts to accommodate riders with disabilities, and up to $150 for a bike lock. For all other residents, the subsidy can be up to $1,000 for a cargo e-bike, up to $750 for a regular e-bike, up to $150 for a replacement battery, up to $125 for e-bike parts to accommodate riders with disabilities, up to $25 for annual maintenance, and up to $75 for a bike lock.

The City of Tampa Mobility Department is proposing an eBike Voucher Program for all city residents. This program will not only help overcome some of the existing barriers to eBike ownership, but will also provide access to reliable transportation to jobs, promote sustainable transportation, and improve the City’s carbon footprint. The eBike Voucher Program will provide qualified and approved applicants with an upfront discount towards the purchase of a new eBike from a participating local bike shop. Vouchers provided through this program range in value from $500 to $2,000 based on the voucher type and the applicant’s income qualifications. Additionally, income-qualified vouchers are double the value of their standard voucher counterparts to provide additional assistance to those who qualify.

The legislation calls for the city to create a committee — one that includes transportation officials and advocates for bicyclists and equity — to study other cities' e-bike incentive programs. If Atlanta's program moves forward, the city would use $1 million in federal funding to shore up the rebate program.

Up to $500 or 20% of the retail price is available for eligible purchases of newly purchased electric bicycles and electric mopeds. Applications open at 12 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023. Eligibility criteria includes being 18 years of age or older, and participation in a low-income assistance program such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or Section 8, or not owning a motor vehicle with four or more wheels, or being enrolled in a school, college, or university.

The City of Bloomington is offering up to $1,000 to residents to purchase e-bikes. There are 30 vouchers worth $500 each, available to all residents who meet the requirements, and 15 vouchers worth $1,000 each, available only to low-income residents. The vouchers can be used at Revolution Bike and Bean or The Bicycle Garage. The program is designed to support the city's Climate Action Plan, which seeks to reduce reliance on single-occupancy motor vehicles and reduce the number of miles traveled by vehicles.

The Cape Light Compact, with funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, is offering an Income-Eligible E-Bike Incentive program. The Compact will issue vouchers to income-eligible participants that can be used at participating bike shops to cover 75% of the cost of a Class 1 e-bike, or up to $1,200. Additionally, the voucher will also cover up to $125 toward the cost of bike accessories (e.g., helmet, bike lock, bike lights, or pump). Customers will also receive a $100 gift card from the Compact if they schedule and complete a Home Energy Audit through the Cape Light Compact (gift cards will be issued upon completion of the Audit). Grant funds are limited. Vouchers will be issued on a first come, first served basis. The Compact will also cover the cost of bike maintenance for the year following purchase.

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's (MassCEC) Accelerating Clean Transportation for All (ACT4All) Program awarded grant funding to MassBike to conduct a 2-year program to distribute electric bicycles and track their usage amongst select populations in the City of Worcester. MassBike is offering free e-bikes to low-income residents in Worcester and providing subsidies for the purchase of e-bikes.

This program offers residents a $150 rebate for new e-bike purchases.

E-Bike Loan NYC provides access to sustainability micromobility through a low-cost e-bike loan for employees of participating employers. There is no minimum credit score requirement and no hidden costs. Additionally, employees can use their NYCID to sign up.

Selected delivery workers can trade their e-bike or moped for a discounted UL-certified e-bike. Participants will be eligible to purchase a Tern Quick Haul e-bike with two Bosch batteries for $2,200 (plus tax), which represents a 40% discount from the retail price of $3,775 (plus tax). A low-cost, 12-month loan with no minimum credit score requirement is also available from Spring Bank. Delivery workers who choose this option can purchase their e-bike and make low monthly payments.

The City of Columbus offers a rebate of up to $100 for the purchase of an ebike. The rebate is available to all Columbus residents and is valid for purchases made between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

The City of Bend is offering a rebate of $2,000 each to 75 qualified transportation-disadvantaged, low-income households in Bend to be used toward the purchase of an e-bike. The rebate will be paid directly to the retailers, removing as many financial barriers as possible for participants. Participants will be able to visit a participating retailer and automatically deduct the $2,000 from the purchase at the point of sale. The rebates will be awarded via a lottery process, and the first lottery will take place in the Spring. Funding for this grant is made possible by the Oregon Clean Fuels Program, administered by the state Department of Environmental Quality.

EWEB offers a $300 e-bike incentive to increase access to more affordable, zero emission electric bikes and support the community’s commitment to transportation electrification and active transportation options. The applicant must be the purchaser of the bicycle and be an EWEB residential electric customer with an active account or an authorized individual under the account. Rebate is $300 and not to exceed the cost of e-bicycle. Only two rebates per EWEB residential electric account. New electric bicycles must have been purchased on or after January 1, 2022. Professionally-installed conversions must have been purchased on or after October 1, 2022. Applicants must complete an application and submit it along with a paid invoice or bill of sale showing the bicycle brand and model, purchase price, date of purchase, vendor or shop name, and if available, the address matching the active EWEB residential electric account on the program application.

Participants of the Ride2Own program will receive their own eBike at no cost — along with the essentials including safety gear, repair, and scheduled maintenance. Ride2Own will go beyond most current eBike subsidy programs –delivering not only free eBikes, but also training , safety gear, maintenance/repairs, and community- building events. The program design and execution is advised by compensated community members and transportation experts across disciplines to support the integrity and accessibility of each pilot.

Austin Energy offers rebates for eligible E-bikes, scooters, mopeds, and motorcycles purchased on or after January 1, 2023. Rebate amounts vary depending on the type of electric vehicle purchased up to $600 for ebikes & a rebate incentive for fleet investments up to $800 per ebike.

The state of Vermont has launched an incentive program that will help residents scrap and replace old gas cars with new or used eligible electric vehicles (EVs) or plug-in electric vehicles (PHEVs). Incentives of $3,000 are available on a first-come, first-served basis to income-eligible Vermont residents who hand in a gas car that’s at least 10 years old – that’s model year 2012 or older – and switch to a new or used plug-in electric vehicle. The incentive can be stacked with one of the existing (new or used) incentives. Information on the other programs is available at the Drive Electric Vermont’s website. For the second phase of the program, eligible applicants can receive a card preloaded with a $3,000 voucher to use on eligible clean transportation expenses at participating electric bike shops or for shared mobility options.

VPPSA member customers are eligible for a $100 rebate for an e-bike or retrofit kit. To qualify, the e-bike or retrofit kit must be purchased at a Vermont-based store. Customers of VPPSA member utilities are eligible for this incentive to meet Vermont's Renewable Energy Standard, which supports utility programs that help customers reduce fossil fuel use from heating and transportation.

Amazon is offering a subsidy to cover the costs of bike maintenance, rentals, and more for employees who bike to work. This includes bike leases, bike share, maintenance, and bike parking. The monthly bike subsidy ranges from city to city to correspond with local parking costs, which can be up to $400.
