Who invented the electric scooter?

The electric Scooter was first invented by Wim Ouboter, a Swiss inventor, in 1996. The first electric Scooter was called the Micro Skate and was designed as a compact transportation option for urban areas. Since then, many other companies have produced their own versions of electric scooters for a variety of uses, from commuting to recreational riding. While there are variations in motor power, battery range, and other features, most electric scooters share the basic design of a compact frame with two wheels, handlebars, and an electric motor.
