When does a pedestrian have the right of way?

A pedestrian typically has the right of way when crossing a street at a marked crosswalk or an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection. In these situations, drivers are required to yield to pedestrians and allow them to safely cross the road. However, it is important to note that pedestrians should still exercise caution and not assume that all drivers will yield to them. Additionally, pedestrians should always obey traffic signals and signs and should not jaywalk or cross the road outside of designated areas.
