What is the difference from electric bike and electric moped?
An electric bike, or eBike, is a bicycle that is equipped with a battery and motor that provides the rider with additional power through pedal-assist or throttle-based acceleration. It is designed to be pedaled like a traditional bicycle, with the motor providing support to make pedaling easier.
On the other hand, an electric Moped is more similar to a Scooter or Motorcycle. It also has a battery and motor, but it is designed primarily for motorized propulsion and does not require any pedaling. Electric mopeds typically have higher speeds and larger motors than ebikes, making them more suitable for longer commutes or faster rides. They also often have features such as headlights, turn signals, and mirrors to comply with regulations for motor vehicles.
While both ebikes and electric mopeds provide electric assistance, the key differences lie in their intended use and design. Ebikes are specifically designed to combine manual pedaling with electric power, providing a more active riding experience, while electric mopeds are designed for users who prefer a more motorized Mode of transportation.
