What is a class 3 electric bike?

A Class 3 electric bike is a specific type of eBike that is also known as a speed pedal-assist bicycle. Class 3 ebikes are limited to a top assisted speed of 28 mph and require the rider to pedal to engage the assistive motor. Additionally, Class 3 bikes must be equipped with certain safety features, such as a horn or Bell and front and rear lights. These types of ebikes are designed for riders who want a little extra speed and power for commuting or recreational use.
