The man who invented the Segway was Dean Kamen. He developed the Segway Personal Transporter, a self-balancing Scooter, and introduced it to the market in 2001. The Segway quickly gained attention as a futuristic Mode of transportation, but ultimately did not achieve the widespread popularity that many had predicted.
