How to bypass solenoid on electric golf cart?

To bypass the solenoid on an electric golf cart, you will need to follow these steps: 1. Locate the solenoid: The solenoid is typically located near the battery compartment or on the control panel of the golf cart. 2. Disconnect the power source: Before attempting any bypassing, make sure to disconnect the power source by removing the negative battery cable. 3. Identify the solenoid terminals: The solenoid should have two large terminals and two small terminals. The large terminals usually have cables connected to them, while the small terminals may have smaller wires attached. 4. Remove the cables: Carefully detach the cables from the solenoid terminals. Remember their positions for reinstallation. 5. Connect the bypass wires: To bypass the solenoid, you will need to connect the positive battery cable directly to the positive terminal of the electric motor. Connect the negative battery cable to the negative terminal of the motor as well. 6. Secure the connections: Ensure that the connections are secure and that there are no loose wires. Use electrical tape or wire connectors to secure the connections if necessary. 7. Reconnect the power source: Once the bypass is complete, reattach the negative battery cable to restore power to the electric golf cart. Please note that bypassing the solenoid may have unintended consequences and could potentially damage the cart or compromise its safety features. It is recommended to consult with a professional or refer to the manufacturer's guidelines before attempting any modifications.
