The Giro Fixture MIPS helmet gets stellar reviews for its build quality, fit, protection and style. Priced at around $70/£69.99, it delivers excellent value. However, it comes in only one size, and some features, such as foam protection and peak adjustability, could be improved.

The MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) helmet features reduced interference with venting, slim anti-microbial padding, adjustable straps and visor. The product excels in terms of fit and comfort with the Roc Loc 5.5 system providing a pressure point-free security.

Lazer's newly launched Chase KinetiCore downhill helmet gets top marks for safety features from Virginia Tech labs. Offering less venting, additional padding, a face grid on the chin bar, and weighing just 990g, this full-face helmet is modelled on the brand's Cage enduro model. Priced at $199.99 and €199.99, it comes in six different colors and sizes ranging from XS to XL.

Unlike some helmet brands Giro don’t include any sort of impact reporting technology in the Aries so you’ll need to rely on a smart watch or phone if you want that feature.

The Haibike AllMtn CF SE has great climbing performance and a comfortable riding position that makes it ideal for backcountry exploring. However, balancing speed and grip on higher-intensity technical trails is tricky due to issues with its suspension performance and tire grip. The bike's heavy weight and poorer-performing parts also raise questions about its value for its price point.

The Apidura Expedition handlebar bag offers a lightweight yet strong design with waterproof features and expandable capacity, although it requires protective measures to prevent paint erosion. The bag is value for money due to its precision construction, remarkable support program and longevity. An add-on Accessory Pocket provides useful additional storage, though comes with a noticeable price increase.

The Apidura Expedition Handlebar Pack has been praised for its lightweight, totally waterproof and ultra-durable design. Although it's compact and well-priced given its high-quality construction, it could potentially cause paint rub and impact bar space. It has optional extra features like the Accessory Pocket, which boosts its utility despite being a little pricey.

The Tifosi Rail sunglasses provide excellent eye protection, have great coverage, three interchangeable lenses, and are lightweight. Although adjusting elements and changing lenses can be a little tricky at first, they become easier. Best suited for those with a medium to large head, the Rails' rimless design gives an uninterrupted field of vision. Despite their large size, they don't fog up and wind turbulence is on par with other large-sized sunglasses.

The Chase KinetiCore is a new downhill-specific full-face helmet launched by Lazer, which has been recognized for its five-star security by Virginia Tech labs. It is a beefed-up version of Lazer's Cage model and includes features such as less venting, additional padding, a face grid on the chin bar and weighs 990g. The helmet costs $199.99, and is available in six different colors and five sizes.

Specialized has released a new version of their Dissident helmet, the Dissident 2, designed in collaboration with Specialized Gravity Team riders. The helmet has improved ventilation, increased protection and a more angular aesthetic. However, it lacks the Magnetic chin strap buckle and ANGi crash alert sensor present in the previous model.

The Cairn E-Adventure 650B is a user-friendly and fun gravel all-rounder bike with an unobtrusive, yet useful power-assisted system. Heavier than its predecessor, its off-road performance and fun factor are significantly enhanced by the carbon wheel upgrades and larger tires. However, tire pressure is key in achieving a smooth ride. Its pricing is competitive, especially for its build quality and features.

The Bell Super Air Spherical is a top-class helmet designed for trail use, offering superb fit and heightened protection features. While its top-notch build quality, eye-catching design, and value for money features are laudable, it falls short in its ability to be adapted fully for downhill use. Despite a few minor flaws, it's a trusted option for an open-face trail/enduro helmet.

Focus’s THRON2 is a smooth, surefooted, well specced, big battery, Bosch tech boosted all rounder that can handle commuting, touring and trail. It’s a heavy brute though and low BB has pros and cons.

Distinctive styling and premium touches backed up with good venting on the go and enhanced EPS and MIPS protection.

Cairn has released a new version of its E-Adventure gravel adventure e-bike, the 1.0 Rambler Edition. With a number of updates including new geometry, bigger wheels, and lower weight, the bike is more in line with the market's best electric gravel bikes. The bike, though not yet available, can be pre-ordered for delivery in December 2022.

The Specialized Ambush 2 helmet has deep levels of protection, impressive ventilation, neat fit features and glasses storage options. Its unique design offers high airflow at higher speeds, secure and comfortable fit, and top safety standards. Some downsides include less noticeable air circulation at slower speeds and a visor that is more decorative than functional in terms of weather proofing.
